I am headed out to New Orleans late next week. My friend contacted Habitat for Humanity to do some volunteer work while down there. However, they said at this time they do not need anymore volunteers. Does anyone have suggestions of charities to contact to set up some volunteer services while we are there?

Check the local United Way as they will have many opportunities listed and their contacts. You can also go to http://www.volunteermatch.com and set something up before you get there or when you get there... Good Luck!

The local children's hospital is always in need of good volunteers!! Also there is a place called the Bridge House that is great place to volunteer! Believe me there are plenty of place in New Orleans that need wonderful people like yourself who are will to give there time! Thanks for making this world a little bit better =}
