There is work in New Orleans - but before you and your husband decide to move there you need to ask yourselves if you are willing to gamble on losing your lives or everything you have in moving there should another major hurricane hit. Hurricanes are getting worse every year since the year 2000. They expect possibly even MORE this year. Just something to think about. You wouldn't get me in there for any amount of money.

I responded to you other question, but this guy said something true just now. Hurricanes do come every year (Hurricane season) so that is a downside. But we know about them before they happen. Smart people get flood insurance, wind insurance, & insurance in general. You see people on the news pissed off at FEMA and others, and I'll bet you most of the people that are still pissed didn't have any flood or wind insurance. So to get any worries out of you. They warn us when a hurricane is coming, and what category it is. They let us know if we should evacuate or not. It is all over the news also, its not like they say it one time and then forget it. The West Bank (New Orleans suburbs) like I said before, it got hit but not like New Orleans. Wind damage was the worst over here. I hope you move to my city, it is still a wonderful place. People still goto New Orleans to have a good time. But don't take my word for it,come down and see how it is for yourself.

Consider the fact that New Orleans wasn't directly hit by the hurricane...South Mississippi was and we were completely desimated. New Olreans actually got the dry western side of the storm. I love New Orleans, but if they ever get hit as directly as we did here on the Mississippi Gulf Coast, I can't imagine what would be left of it.
